Clams
are bivalves whose bodies are enclosed in two shells.
Some live on top of the substrate in an aquarium,
though many burrow into it. Clams are popular for
mature reef aquariums, but can be difficult to care for.
The Squamosa clam is primarily brown in color with
colored spots or lines. This clam benefits from the
addition of trace elements, strontium, calcium and iodine.
